Mary Farrell

Burlington, NC Mary Ann Guthrie Farrell, age 59, went home to be the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 39 years to Renford "Renny" Kendall Farrell who survives. Mary Ann was employed with ARMC as a CNA. She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church and a nursery worker for many years. She graduated from ACC in 2008 and was a loving and devoted Christian wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Renny Farrell of the home; daughter, Rhoda Lee Farrell Hawkins of Burlington and a son, Christopher "Chris" Brooks Farrell of the home; granddaughters, Jenna Nicole Ann Hawkins and Faith Brooke Hawkins both of Burlington; sister, Connie Lynn Jenkins of Fayetteville, NC and a brother, Garland Eugene Guthrie of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Will Smith. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Redding and Rev. George M. "Jack" Phillips, Jr. and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
