Burlington - Mary Lena Swaney Cauthren "Earth recedes; Heaven opens before me. No, this is not a dream .. .If it is death, it is sweet. God is calling me and I must go." On October 13, 2010, the words of the late evangelist D.L. Moody became a reality for Mary Lena Swaney Cauthren, age 93. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the charity of choice. We wish to give our heart-felt thanks to the staff at Homeplace of Burlington, who since July 2003 provided loving and compassionate care to our mother. As her children, we echo the words of Proverbs 31:28, "Her children rise up and call her blessed." Mother, we love you and miss you, but we know that we will see you again.
