Mary Barts

Mary Lou McMillian Barts, 74, of Lacy St. passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel "Buck" and Posie Holyfield McMillion. She had been employed by Kayser-Roth Corp. for 40 years and later retired from Lab Corp. She was a long time member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church and a Life Member of Hospice League of Alamance-Caswell. She was an avid gardener and active in visiting rest homes. Survivors include her husband, Marvin L. Barts, Jr. of the home and sister, Faye M. Neese and husband Pat; nephews, Jeff Neese and wife Tammy and Tony Neese and wife Donna; great nieces, Alanna and Tayler Neese Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Billy Allen, Rev. John Shields and Vicky Davis. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barts will remain at Lowe Funeral Home through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5-7pm Saturday.
