Mary Bacchus

Mary Lou Berg Bacchus, 66, of Whitsett passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Hospice Home after a three month battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Kent County, Delaware to the late Roy Albin and Mary Kathryn Hart Berg. Mary Lou was married for 39 years to the late Glenn A. Bacchus. She worked for the Alamance County Chamber of Commerce in marketing and sales, attended Gibsonville United Methodist Church and was a team leader for Weight Watchers. She is survived by her son, Mark Jennifer Bacchus of Ypsilanti, MI; daughter, Tammy Teagarden of Indiana; nieces and nephew, Leslie Kornhaus, Andrea Guyer, Danny Guyer, and Mary Ann Malkoff and cousin, Charlie Berg. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, and sister, Patty Anne Berg. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jonathan Marlowe. The family will receive friends following the service at her residence, 509 Walnut Crossing Drive, Whitsett.
