Liberty-Mary Sharpe Andrews, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 69 years to the late Bryant Carson Andrews.
Mary retired from Lorillard Tobacco after 30 years and was a graduate of Nathanael Greene High School. She was a member of Low’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Dorcus Circle and the Ladies Sunday School Class. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Bryant Andrews and wife, Karen of Liberty and Samuel Earl Andrews of Greensboro; grandchildren, Candy Andrews Lewis and Julie Andrews Rivera; great grandchildren, Parker Lewis, Peyton Lewis and Adley Rivera and a niece, Nancy Andrews Sutton and husband, Mike of Swepsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Earl D. and Mozelle Isley Sharpe; brother, James E. Sharpe and her daughter-in-law, Susan Andrews.
The family would like to thank Mamie Long for her friendship and assistance to Mary in being able to maintain her home in the later years of her life.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00PM at Low’s Lutheran Church by Pastor John Mark Beam III and the burial will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45PM prior to the service at the church.
