Marvin Jones

Marvin Keith Jones, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2017 after a brief illness at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Rockingham County to the late Acey Henry Jones and Bettie Chumley Jones and was married to the late Nancy Stallings Jones. He retired from Copland Fabrics after 45 years of service. Mr. Jones was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and was currently attending Spring Lake Baptist Church. He loved playing the game of Putt-Putt and the time of fellowship it provided with his friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who truly enjoyed spending time his family.
He is survived by his sons, Marshall (Andrea) Jones, Keith (Lisa) Jones, David (Renea) Jones; grandchildren, Wes, Kelle, Kourtney, D.J., Ethan, Gracie, Colt; great grandchild, Kendalyn; sister, Patsy (Larry) Broach; nieces and nephews, Ed, Vickie, Janet, Dee Dee, Lora and his faithful canine companion, Ryan.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by his son, Pastor Keith Jones with interment to follow in Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
