Marvin Brantley

Marvin Ray Brantley, age 66, of 3238 Osceola Rd., died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Sharpsburg, NC, he was the son of the late Julius Marvin Brantley and the late Mattie Mae Griffin Brantley Trevathan and was married to the late Janice Ellison Brantley, who died in 1998. He was formerly employed with Cortina Fabrics of Swepsonville with over 25 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Marvin is survived by two daughters, May Brooks and her husband, Timothy, of Graham and Antoinette "Toi" Brantley Costner of Gibsonville; four grandchildren, Arielle Benton, Jason Croisant, Christopher "C.J." Costner and Cathryn Costner; three brothers, Jerry Wayne Brantley of Whittakers, NC, Ricky Lane Brantley of Galt, CA and Mack Allen Trevathan, Jr. of Rocky Mount, NC; and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Brantley of Rocky Mount, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a sister, Deborah Heel; and a brother, Tony Dale Brantley.
