Marvin Barts, Jr.

Marvin Love Barts, Jr., 79, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his home.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Mary Lou McMillian Barts and son of the late Marvin L. Barts, Sr. and Mary Faucette Barts.
Marvin retired from Alamance Community College after 25 years of service. He was a member of People's Memorial Christian Church, a Vietnam army veteran, a volunteer with the Hospice League, an avid camper, gardener and enjoyed Senior Bingo.
Mr. Barts is survived by his sister-in-law, Faye Neese and husband Pat of Mebane; 2 nephews, Jeff Neese and wife Tammy, and Tony Neese and wife Donna; 2 great nieces, Alanna and Tayler Neese.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 29. 2017 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Allen officiatiing. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Barts will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday. At other times the family will be at Marvin's home.
