Martin Whitehurst

Burlington - Martin West Whitehurst passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cook County, GA, he was the son of the late Bascom Albert and Dallas Agatha West Whitehurst and husband of Christine Peek Whitehurst who survives.
Martin was a retired Electrical Engineer with Western Electric/AT&T, a volunteer for Alamance County Library Outreach and was known for his generosity, thoughtfulness and dry wit.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Peek Whitehurst; sons, Nathan Dean Whitehurst and wife Jody of Pittsboro and Duane Nelson Whitehurst and wife Nancy of Portland, OR; and his beloved cat "Cassie".
There will be no formal services. The family request that family and friends visit them at their home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
