Martha Mattfeldt Conlon

Martha Mattfeldt Conlon, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 5, 1933 in Bergen, NJ to the late Adolf Mattfeldt and Marie Eickmeyer Mattfeldt, and was the wife of 62 years to the late Robert Andrew Conlon.

Martha was a homemaker and formerly an administrative assistant at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, and going on cruises, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Steven Conlon (Debbi), Gary Conlon, Monica Brooks (Stephen), and Glenn Conlon; grandchildren, Jeff O’Keefe, Elizabeth O’Neal (Austin), Will Conlon (Whitney), Leslie Collins (Matt), Jen Conlon, Bryan Conlon, Tate Scott (Chelsea), Brandon Scott (Alicia); great-grandchildren, Madeline, Ballard, Sophie, Rowan, Juniper, Amelia and Brandon Jr.; son-in-law, Ed O’Keefe; sister, Joan Rohde and brother, Otto Mattfeldt (Dee). Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Linda Conlon O’Keefe.

The funeral mass will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Tim Lyons with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 10:45am prior to the service.
