NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Mrs. Mauline (Marlene) Duke Dudleck completed her earthly journey peacefully at her home on May 10, 2016 and has surely joined all God's angels.
Marlene was born in Glencoe, NC on April 16, 1934 to the late Annie Pruitt and Benjamin Van Duke. She and her late husband, Oscar A. Dudleck, were married for 55 years, and made their home and raised their children in Burlington.
Marlene was an excellent homemaker, always a place at the table for anyone who stopped in. She was an outgoing, loving person always giving of herself to others. She will long be remembered by her many friends and family.
Marlene worked 12 years for Belk's at Holly Hill Mall in Burlington. She also worked for the Alamance County School System at Harvey Newlin School for 10 years as a Teacher's Assistant. She moved to North Myrtle Beach a year after Oscar died to be near her son and his family.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman and Woodrow of Baltimore, MD., Walter of Statesville, NC and Raymond of Greensboro.
She is survived by two sons, Alan Lee Dudleck and wife, Cheryl of Charlotte and Kimrick Vance Dudleck and wife, Ann of N. Myrtle Beach, SC. She also had one sister, Hazel Williams of Zebulon, NC and five beloved grandsons, Ryan, Chris, Eric, Michael and David. She had many nephews and nieces-especially Brenda and Van.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Pine Hill Cemetery.
