Mark Lunsford

Burlington-Mark Creech Lunsford, 63 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 17, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 30 years to Karen Holt Lunsford who survives. He was the son of the late Lowell Thomas Lunsford and Alyce Creech Lunsford.

Mark was a graduate of Walter M. Williams High School in 1974 and East Carolina University in 1978. He retired as owner and operator of C & L Radiator, Inc. Mark was a member of Front Street Christian Disciples of Christ Church. He was an avid sports fan and music lover. Mark particularly loved the San Francisco Giants Baseball team. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Holt Lunsford of the home; son, Holt Bradley Lunsford and his daughter, Morgan Alyce Lunsford both of Burlington; grandchild, Delilah Rein Comer;  brothers: Lowell Thomas Lunsford, II and wife Julia of Chapel Hill and Greg Allison Lunsford and wife Wendy of Burlington; three nephews, one niece and two great nephews.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 4:00pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Dace Lewis. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
