Marjorie Riddle

Burlington-Marjorie Harrell Riddle, 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Twin Lakes Health Care. She was born in Florence, SC, to Elbert Stanley and Ella Jacobs Harrell. She attended Florence Schools and graduated from Winthrop College in 1949. She was a public school teacher, church secretary and retired from the UNC School of Medicine where she was an administrative assistant. Marjorie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon and served in the Chancel Choir.

Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Jody Riddle Wade of Greensboro, NC and a niece, Susan Putnam Wilson of Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Harrell Putnam.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church of Elon by Rev. Kellie Gallagher. There will be a gathering and reception from 12-1:45pm at the church prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1630 Westbrook Avenue, Elon, NC 27244, Twin Lakes Community, 3701 Wade Coble Drive, Burlington, NC 27215 or a favorite charity.
