Elon– Marilyn Simpson Lamm, 59 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Guilford County on to the late Robert Junior and Velma Depoy Simpson and was the wife of 40 years to Alton Earl Lamm who survives.
Marilyn was a homemaker and member of Brightwood Chrisitan Church. She enjoyed growing flowers traveling to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Alton E. Lamm of the home; sons, Alton E. “AJ” Lamm, Jr. and wife, Jessica of Burlington, Preston Thomas Lamm of Elon and Jarrett Daniel Lamm and wife, Harley of Burlington; grandchildren, Macy Lamm, MacKenzie Lamm, Michael Lamm, Joseph Cates, Grayson Duggins, Cheyanne Lamm, Evelyn Lamm, Alyssa Lamm and Jordyn Lamm; sister, Patricia Lowe and husband, Blair of Elon. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Doris Jean Simpson and Janice Ruth Saul; brothers, Robert Earl Simpson and Jerl Deon Simpson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ricky Cox with the burial to follow in the Brightwood Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
