Marie Mabe Heath

Mary Marie Mabe Heath, 67, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her daughters’ home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Alamance County on September 7, 1951 to the late Harry Roosevelt Mabe, Sr. and Margaret Poole Mabe and was married to the love of her life, John William Heath of 49 years who survives.

Marie was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church of Elon.  She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors other than her husband, John Heath, Sr. include a daughter, Shelby Andrews and husband, Kenneth; a son, John William Heath, Jr. and wife, Angela; grandchildren, David Andrews, Damian Andrews, Ansleigh Heath and finacé, John Calderon and Madison Heath; sister, Wanda Mabe; nieces, Penny Dawson, Crystal Somers and husband, Trey; nephews, Staff Sergeant, Justin R. Mabe and wife Megan, and Corey Dylan Mabe; 12 great nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Brenda Kay Mabe and a brother, Harry Roosevelt Mabe, Jr.

The funeral service will be held 4:00pm Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jeff McCann with the burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the daughter’s residence.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful hospice nurses, Desiree Whitted and Donna Kingston for all their compassion that was shown towards Marie during her illness.
