Marie Manuel Wicker

Marie Manuel Wicker, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Jim and Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home.  She was born in Orange County to the late Earl and Blennie York Fox Manuel. She was the wife of 60 years to Autry Lee Wicker who survives.

  Marie formerly worked in textiles for Influential Hosiery Mills and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church. Marie enjoyed going to the Barn Dance and listening to country and gospel music. She loved traveling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

  Survivors include her husband, Autry Lee Wicker of the home; daughter, Sandy Michelle Wicker Craven and husband, Gary; granddaughters, Jessica Burgess and husband, Randy and Allison Craven; great grandson, Levi Jackson Burgess, her sister, Alice Faye Thomas and several nieces and nephews; her canine companion, “Angel” and her feline companion, “Kitty Cat”. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Odell Manuel, Betty Lou Edmonds and Margaret Mann.

  A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3:00pm at Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery.
