Marie Taylor

Marie Silby Taylor, 86 passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Twin Lakes. She was the daughter of the late John Charles and Nellie Rose Prior Silby.

Marie retired from Blue Ribbon diner in Burlington. She attended St. Marks Church for several years. Marie was an exceptional baker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to yard sales.

Survivors include her daughters, Myrna Fanney and her husband, Bill and Leslie Winstead and her husband, Chip all of Burlington; son, Wayne Coble of Burlington; grandchildren, Sommer Fanney and Aidan Winstead; sister, Doreen Ellis of England. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Joyce White, Betty Gonzalves and Irene Hayward; brother, Ronald Silby and her big dog, “Rosa”.

A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.
