Marie Garrison

Mrs. Marie Thomas Rimmer Garrison, age 78, of N. Myrtle Beach, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell after a short illness.
Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late David Thomas Rimmer and the late Ruby Virginia Fox Rimmer and was married to the late Andrew Bruce, who passed in 2008. She retired from Lucent Technology after 35 years of service and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Garrison is survived by her daughter, Vicki Gregoire and her husband, Phil, of Gibsonville; three grandchildren, Morgan, Travis and Taylor Leonard; two step grandchildren, Michele Joyce and Jonathan Gregoire; six great grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Rimmer of Burlington; and her loving companion, Aiden McCaffrey of N. Myrtle Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Bertha Dean Bruner; and two brothers, Rainey Rimmer and Raymond Rimmer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Wellford. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel and other times at the daughter's residence.
