Maria Clapp

Maria Da Silva Clapp, 60, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in So Miguel, Azores Islands to the late Joao Pereira Da Silva and the late Francelina Almeida. She was a former Life Skill Instructor with the Ralph Scott Life Services and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters, Lea Caroline Clapp of Mebane and Frances Marion Clapp of High Point; nephew, Luis Ponte of Selma, NC and her K-9 companion, "Molly". The funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, May 29, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Briant Cullinane, O.F.M. Conv. with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 10:45am at the church prior to the service and other times at Maria's residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of our mother to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or Ralph Scott Life Services, 408 W. Trade Street, Burlington, NC 27217.
