Margorie Sholl

Marjorie Mae Musser Sholl, 91, of Burlington, NC died on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Twin Lakes Community's Coble Healthcare.
She was born in Bellefonte, PA on May 28, 1927 to Earl and Charlotte Ulrich Musser, both deceased. On July 22, 1949 she married Dean Edward Sholl, who died earlier this month on November 3rd. She is survived by their 3 children: Judy Dulberg of Whitsett, NC; Curtis Sholl of Cleveland, OH; and Martha Sholl and her husband Mark Houser of Rochester, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers Elmer, Earl, Joe and Tom Musser; and four sisters, Mabel Bierly, Louise Penrod, Eleanor Biddle and Anna Belle Hartman.
Marjorie was a 1945 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She graduated from Penn State
University in 1949 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She taught for 26 years, including first
grade in Des Moines, IA and Tonawanda, NY, and then second grade in Bellefonte, PA. After
their children were older she returned to teaching fifth grade in Bellefonte, until her retirement
in 1990. Marjorie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon and sang in their church choir. She was previously a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte, PA where she
sang in their church choir for over 40 years, taught Sunday School and was the coordinator for
their library reading program. She was an active member of United Methodist Women, holding
local offices and serving on their district team for 8 years. She also served as president of
Church Women United. Following their move to Twin Lakes in 2013, she joined the Twin Lakes
choir and memoirs writing group, and she also enjoyed the many guest speakers sponsored by
the Twin Lakes Enrichment Group.
A memorial service, followed by a reception at Pepper Tree Café, will be held at May-Foley
Chapel at Twin Lakes Community, Burlington, at a later date.
