Margaret Kelly Leach

Margaret Kelly Leach, 86 of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Margaret was born on August 28, 1938 in Anson County to James Walter and Annie Florence Atkinson Kelly. She was the wife to Max Russell Leach for over 64 years who survives.

Margaret was a homemaker and took pride in her family and raising her two boys. She was always present at her son’s ballgames and was a loud supporter from the stands. Margaret enjoyed wildlife and animals, especially dogs. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Max Russell Leach of the home; her sons, David Leach and wife, Kim of Frisco, Texas and Mark Leach of Indian Trail, North Carolina; her grandson, Dillon Leach of Charlotte, North Carolina; her sister, Mary Virginia Kelly Williams of Tyler, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maggie Pauline Kelly Watts, Annie Ruth Kelly Marsh, Nannie Lee Kelly Rayfield, Nora Christine Kelly Ann, Frances Alise Kelly Allen and Bernice Kelly and her brother, John Charles Kelly

The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 12 Noon at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Carolyn Burrus.
