Margaret James

Margaret Bookout James, 80, passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Edgewood Place in Burlington. She was a native of Alamance County, born May 29, 1937 to the late Lloyd and Iantha Hill Bookout.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Matherly and husband, Tommy, son Chuck James and wife, Tammy; Grandchildren Chip McClure, Christal Chapman and husband, Rodney, Chad James and wife, Camie. Great grandchildren Ryleigh James, Jacob and Ashlyn Chapman and a brother Sam Bookout.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2018 in the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum by Pastor Bennie Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance- Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215
