Margaret Duszlak

Margaret Pavuk Duszlak, 87, of 418 Meadowood Drive, Burlington, NC died peacefully with her daughter at her bedside on July 31, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 1997. Mrs. Duszlak is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. S.G. and Mary Sankar of Burlington; daughter-in-law, Dr. Carla Duszlak of Burlington; six grandchildren, Teresa, Catie and Maggie Duszlak of Burlington, Eddie Duszlak and his wife Justin of Chapel Hill, Michael Sankar of Vermont, and Scott Sankar of South Carolina; one sister, Mrs. Rose Defillipo of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Duszlak, Sr. who died in 2005; a son, Dr. Edward Duszlak, Jr. who died in 2002; her parents, George and Mary Yacko Pavuk; four brothers and three sisters. She lived in Webster Massachusetts before moving to Burlington, NC in 1983. She worked for many years at Steven's Linen in Dudley, Massachusetts. Prior to her Alzheimer's, she enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
