Margaret Austin

Margaret Louise Coble Austin, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 72 years to Dexter Parker Austin. Margaret attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of the home; daughters, Becky Mansfield and her husband, Jack and June Campbell and her husband, Richard both of Burlington; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Margaret Rebecca Qualls Coble; son, Howard Basil Austin; sisters, Lillie Cheek, Agnes Coble, Violet Coble, Ollie Simpson, Joy Belle Stuart and Harriett Stuckey; brothers, William, Zeb and Joseph Coble. The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hobbs and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
