Margaret Anne Paulson

February 19, 1945 — July 3, 2022

Burlington

Margaret Anne Paulson, 77, passed peacefully, after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer, on Sunday, July 3, 2022 surrounded by love from her family and friends. Margaret lived a full and adventurous life as an avid snow skier, a country western dancer and dance instructor, practiced yoga, attended aerobics classes, a theatre patron, regularly volunteered in her community, and traveled to all 50 states, Canada, Ireland, Sweden, Russia, Portugal, Spain, and Europe. No one was happier or more loved than Maragret and she nourished so many lives - she helped us all to live a fuller life.

Margaret was a generous and kind person, quick to make friends, and always helped her friends and neighbors - tirelessly giving of her time and talents to others. Give her a task or a problem to solve and she got it done.  A graduate of Southern Illinois University and a registered dietician, she served as the Alamance County Meals-on-Wheels Program Director for 20 years where she organized the annual Alamance CropWalk for hunger.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Donald L. Pauson, Jr.; son William Eric Paulson and his wife Cynthia; daughter Amber Paulson MacIntyre and her husband Michael; grandsons Wilson R. MacIntyre and Garret M. MacIntyre; twin sister Jeanne Kathryn Harris; brother William Terrance Wilson and his wife Christina; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Steve Paulson and wife Dayle, Jerry Paulson and signficant other Dodie, Rodney Paulson and wife Linda, Renee Odell and husband Rick and Tom Paulson and wife Brenda; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William Marvin Wilson and Margaret Bennett Wilson.

Her last words to her family and friends were: “I leave this life content.”
