Manuel McMillion

Burlington Buck McMillion Manuel Buck McMillion, age 96, of 1103 W. Webb Ave. passed away Monday October 30, 2006 at the Hospice Home. A native of Carroll County, VA, he was the husband of Posie Holyfield McMillion who survives and son of the late George and Martha McMillion McMillion. He was a retired state employee working on bridge maintainance. Buck had a great love for gardening and took special pride in his tomatoes. Mr. McMillion is survived by his wife of 67 years, Posie Holyfield McMillion of the home; 2 daughers, Mary Lou Barts and husband Marvin of Burlington and Faye Neese and husband Pat of Mebane; 2 grandchildren, Jeff Neese and wife Tammy and Tony Neese and wife Donna; 2 great grandchildren, Alanna Neese and Tayler Neese; 2 sisters, Opal Brown of Dobson and Julie Davis of Liberty. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Flossie Wall and Stella Hutchins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday November 2, 2006 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Shields and Vicky Davis. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. McMillion will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Wednesday and at other times at the home.
