Gibsonville SUE APPLE Mrs. Mamie Sue Reid Apple, age 75, of 412 E. Joyner St. passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Arlie Leo Apple and daughter of the late Herman Jack and Gertrude Hughes Reid. She was employed by Burlington Credit Bureau for many years and later retired from ARA Food Service at ARMC. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Arlie Apple; sons, Randy Apple and wife Edith and Bill Todd Apple and wife Darlene, all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Zac Apple and Katlyn Apple; sisters, Mary Ellen Childers of Gibsonville, Norma Dawson and husband Herman of Mechanicsville, VA and Diane Cameron of Greensboro; brother, Rev. David Reid and wife Ruth of Asheboro. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Annie Dare Lynch and Margaret Jobe and brother, Tommy Reid. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday March 20, 2009 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Reid and Rev. Tim Stevens. Interment will follow in Apple's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. Apple will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service.
