Lynn Smith

Eva Lynn Durham Smith, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at her home. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Franklin Delano Smith. She was the daughter of the late Shrewd Rich Durham and Doris Long Durham.

Lynn worked for Mebane Eye Care and later at Kernodle Clinic for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon. Lynn loved to cook for her family and friends. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family and canine companion, “Lucy Lu”.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Smith of the home and Timothy Smith of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Ronald Wesley Durham.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell for their kind and compassionate care for Lynn during her illness.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00pm at Cooper Family Cemetery in Prospect Hill by Rev. Kellie Gallagher.
