Lynn McKernan

Mary Lynn Wolcott McKernan, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on June 12, 1944 in Sherman, TX to the late James George Wolcott and Lucille Ellington Wolcott, and was married to the late John “Jack” Francis McKernan who died in 1999.

Lynn retired from Coty Cosmetics as a territory manager.  She was a member of the Alamance County Business Women’s Association, the Red Hat Society and was an Avon Consultant.  Lynn formerly volunteered with the Mission Arlington Dental Clinic in Arlington, TX.

She is survived by her daughter, Launa Ryan Duncan and husband Patrick; a son, Jonathan Ryan; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Robbie Roop; two nieces, two nephews and a stepdaughter, Kathleen Henderson and husband, Allen.  Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Jackie Sue Roop.

The family is planning a celebration service at a later date.
