Mrs. Lynette Wrenn Hardy, age 76, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Duke University Medical Center after several years of battling Pulmonary Fibrosis.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Maxie Eugene “Max” Wrenn and the late Cora Ollie Atkins Wrenn and was married for 52 years to Ronald Eugene Hardy, who survives. She retired from Precision Tools after 18 years of service and was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. Lynette loved to read and cross-stitch and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Mrs. Hardy is survived by her husband of the home; her son, Ron Christopher Hardy and his wife, Amy; two grandchildren, Alexandria “Alex” Hardy and Christopher Preston Hardy; a sister, Doris Ward; a brother, Joseph Wrenn and wife, Annette; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kristy Cody; and four sisters and six brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Fann and Steven Roberts. The service will be available to view via livestream on the funeral home website. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Hardy will be available for viewing from 1:00 – 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon at the funeral home and the family will be receiving friends at the residence.
