Lula Mae Stanley McDonald

Lula Mae McDonald, 97, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at AuthoraCare Collective in Burlington, NC.  A native of Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon Bonaparte “Buck” Stanley and Edna Stanley.

Lula was married to the late Robert McDonald and reared two children.  She retired from working in several stores as a retail clerk. Lula loved people and especially travelling with her sister, Clarice setting up antique shows all over. She was busy working and being socially with people. She even worked till she was 80 years old.

Lula is survived by her children:  Debra McDonald of Burlington and Joan Lee Patterson of Gibsonville; grandchildren: Will Patterson, Robert Patterson and Lori Gilliam; and three great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Lula was predeceased by two sisters: Ethel Rudd and Clarice Richardson; and a brother, Curtis Stanley.
