LuEller Wood Ingold

   LuEller was a homemaker and longtime member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Whitener Bible Class and donated canned vegetables to the church suppers. LuEller was a member of the Mt. Hope Fire Department Auxiliary and the Garden Club. She enjoyed needleworking, gardening, growing flowers and cake decorating. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

   She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ingold Kirkman of Whitsett and Lori Ingold Dickson and husband, John of Apex; sons, Gary Ingold and wife, Joyce of Whitsett, Robert Ingold and Denny Ingold both of Whitsett; seven grandchildren, Phillip (Billie) Ingold, David (Tonya) Smith, Leslie (Keith) Griffin, Leah (Cameron) Thomas, Matthew Dickson, Ryan Dickson and Katherine Dickson and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Thomas Edgar Wood, Grover Clarence Wood and Garland Wood.

   The family would like to thank the staff of Clapp’s Nursing Home for the quality care they provided for LuEller.

   A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2:00PM at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ by Rev. Kristin Gerner Vaughn. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45-1:45pm and other times at the home of her daughter, Linda.
