Lourdes "Luly" Vega

Lourdes “Luly” Pagán Vega, 46, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, July 19, 2024. She was born on September 24, 1977 in Morris, New Jersey to Ramon Pagán and Myrna Lourdes Rivera.

Luly was currently Director of Fidelity Investments where she had worked for over 20 years. She was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and very proud of her family. Luly enjoyed singing, dancing, hiking, being outdoors, reading, going to the beach, traveling to different countries, but mostly loved taking family vacations and spending time with her family. She was such a loving and giving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Jared Vega, Jamir Vega and Mya Vega; her mother, Myrna Rivera; step father, Manuel Velazquez, Jr.; father, Ramon Pagán; her siblings, Idania Velez and husband Steven, Manuel Velazquez, Raymond Pagán and wife Pricilla, Natasha Valentine and husband Aaron, Steven Santiago and wife Eileen; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Scrappy, Pumpkin and Luna. Luly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herminia and Pedro Rivera.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Luly will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Derrick Thomas with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1:45pm on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times the family will be at the mother’s residence.
