Louise Whitehead

Burlington - Louise Lee Whitehead, 77, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 7, 1940 to the late Lawrence Marvin Lee and Mary Jane Hathaway Lee. She was the wife to the late Lynn Morgan Whitehead, her soul mate since their teenage years, who passed in 2002.

Louise retired after 25 years with Home Interior as a designer. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, the beach and traveling with family and many friends.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Lisa Massey, Teresa Davis and husband, Cole; son, Mike Whitehead and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Tyler Williams and wife, Allison, Grayson Whitehead, Hannah Massey and Katie Boone; step grandchildren, Kaitlyn Davis and Bowman Davis; sister, Margie Whitehead and Ailene Norris; brother, Billy Lee and wife, Letha; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Clifton Lee and a step sister, Mable Tyler.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Rodney "Charlie" Staley with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
