Louise Guthrie Satterfield, 97, passed away at her residence Saturday, September 14, 2013, following a period of declining health. She was born in Caswell County March 6, 1916 to the late Charlie B. and Nettie Talley Guthrie. Louise has been a lifetime member of Northside Presbyterian Church and also a long time member of TOPS earning many awards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Satterfield, two brothers, Charlie Guthrie, Harold Guthrie and three sisters, Emma Smith, Mary Poteat and Helen Page. Those whose lives were enriched by her and those who will cherish loving memories are her son Robert E. Satterfield, Jr. and wife Gail of Charlotte. A daughter Connie Jenkins and husband Larry of Fayetteville, three grandchildren, Matthew Satterfield, Courtney Sanderson and Jonathan Jenkins, three great grandchildren and a very special nephew Charles Guthrie, who has shown his aunt love and provided much support over the years. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Dolly Barrett and Melinda Dillard for all the love and care they have given our mother. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Mitchell. Entombment will follow at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northside Presbyterian Church, 1805 Vaughn Road, Burlington, North Carolina 27217 or Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, North Carolina 27215.
