Mrs. Nannie Louise Core Piestrak, age 93, of McLeansvile, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Ashton Place after several months of failing health. Born in Paris, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Julius Horrace Core and the late Hattie Herring Core and was married for over 66 years to Emil Stanley Piestrak, Sr., who died in 2011. She was a veteran of the U.S Army Air Corps and served during WWII. Louise was a career homemaker, but she was an avid golfer and bridge player and was an excellent seamstress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen. Mrs. Piestrak is survived by her daughter, Pamela "Pam" Buchholz and her husband, Robert, of Burlington; her son, Emil Stanley Piestrak, Jr. and his wife, Norma, of Sanford; three grandchildren, Audrey Maximilian Frasca of Durham, Stacey Jeffrey Marjoram of Wilmington and Christina Buchholz of Philadelphia; four great grandchildren, Vincent Fracsa, Frankie Fracsa, Cora Marjoram and Riker Marjoram; a sister, Anna McCormike of Oklahoma; and three brothers, Pat Margie Core of Oklahoma, Jay Linda Core and Dan Jean Core, all of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and six siblings. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Father Jim Buchholz.
