Burlington, NC Mrs. Louise Payne Foster, 84, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Alamance Healthcare after 1 week of critical illness. She was born in Alamance County to the late Theodore Roosevelt Payne and the late Helen Etta Caviness and was married to the late William Thomas "Pete" Foster. Louise was a former employee with Sellars Department Store, a homemaker, co-owner of Lo-El's Floral Designs and a former children's Sunday school teacher with Northside Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and C.O. Hedrick of Gibsonville, Debbie and Carl Merritt of Hillsborough, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, parents; son, Danny William Foster, Sr. and sister, Elsie Payne Madren. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, September 10, 2012 at Northside Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jim Mitchell with burial following in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home at other times at the residence.
