Lorena Barker

Lorena Holt Maness Barker, 86, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Alamance Health Care surrounded by her family. She was born in Person County on October 2, 1930 to the late Doc James and Ruth Clayton Holt and was the wife of the late Rufus Albert Maness and the late Dorsey Clair Barker.

Lorena was a member of Burlington Assembly of God and retired from the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

Survivors include her sons, Alan Maness and David Cullom; daughter, Vicki Campbell; granddaughters, Jennifer Moore, Macy Maness and Megan Maness; sister, Peggy Greeson and nephews, Howard Holt and Jeff Holt.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; a son, Michael Maness; sisters, Kathleen Barts, Mary Welch, Doris Wheeler and Helen Foster; brothers, James, Elmo, Donald, Lewis and Howard Holt.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Bryan Rainbow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
