Lora Lee "Sis" Troxler Wade, 88, of 4362 Gilliam Church Rd. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 27, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell. She was the youngest of sixteen children born to Daisy Etta Smithey Troxler and Robert Banks Troxler and was the wife of the late Robert James Wade for sixty four years. She was a lifetime member of Shiloh United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Christian Workers Sunday School Class, the Advanced Wisdom Team and a former member of the church choir. She worked at the former McMillan's Restaurant and Apple House Cafeteria for many years. She is survived by daughters, Kaddy Haizlip Curtis, Lynette Pryor Phillip, Janet Bowman Brian, Teresea Miller Tim and Jenny Hannah Lee; sixteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three sisters in law, Mildred Garrison, Dawn Troxler and Effie Troxler. Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons, Clarence James Wade, Douglas Ray Wade and Ricky Lynn Wade; six sisters, Alice Lewis, Lona Mae Wicker, Mary Elizabeth Wade, Kate McMillan, Irene Howerton and Lona Estelle Troxler; nine brothers, Ira Lee Troxler, Thomas Troxler, B C Troxler, Wilbert Troxler, Robert Troxler, Howard Troxler, Paul Troxler, Edward Troxler and Willie Troxler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Shiloh United Methodist Church by Rev. Hyung Kim. Interment will follow in the Shiloh UMC Cemetery. Mrs. Wade will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 4-6pm Sunday and at the residence at other times. The family of Lora Lee wishes to express our heart felt gratitude to the staff of Hospice for the loving care they gave our mother over the last two years. We would also like to extend special thanks to our loving church family who have been so supportive.
