Burlington, NC Lonzie Lovette Kernodle, age 93, of 3603 Danieley Water Wheel Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County and the son of the late Joseph Anderson and Eliza Jane Faucette Kernodle. Lonzie retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery and was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Howard Wayne and Vivian Kernodle; grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Kernodle, Kellie Whitaker and Eric Kernodle; great grandchildren, James Whitaker, Crystal Page, Olivia LoGuidice and Owen Dean Kernodle; sister, Ruby Hunter of Graham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae Simpson Kernodle; son, Marvin Dean Kernodle; parents, sisters, Eva Allison and Elizabeth Kernodle and a brother, Ervin Kernodle. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church by Rev. Renee Burnette and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the sons home, 1328 Graham Street, Burlington, NC 27217. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Hospice Home for their compassion and care for Lonzie and the family.
