Lonzie Foster, Jr.

Lonzie Edmond Jack Foster, Jr., 78 of 1432 NC 87 North, died on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Lonzie Edmond Foster, Sr. and the late Myrtle Dodson Foster. Jack was married for over 53 years to Helen Holt Foster who survives. He was owner and operator of Foster Lumber Company until retiring and then owned and operated Foster Lamp Repair Shop. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Helen Holt Foster, of the home, he is survived by one daughter, Dr. Sharon Dr. Tony Hinson of Concord; a sister, Dorothy Bill Stanfield of Elon; and a nephew, Bobby Georgine Foster of Elon He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Foster. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hobbs. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 till 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
