Lola Glover Meeler, 75, of 833 Fairfield St. passed away Tuesday February 14, 2006 at The Hospice Home following a month and a half illness. She was the wife of Thorburn Bo Meeler. They were married for 54 years. She was the daughter of the late Calvin Onslow Lonnie and Bertie Strickland Glover. Lola was a native of Sampson County, retired from Kayser-Roth after 36 years of service, a very active member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church. She was a member of the Beta Psi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for 45 years and served as a member of the N.C. State Scholarship Board. Survivors include her husband of the home and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. In keeping with her wishes there will be a celebration of her life 11:00 AM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Don Pegg, while at the same time her burial is taking place at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home. Her body may be viewed at the funeral home until 10:00 AM Friday.
