Lois Moore

Lois Marie Brooks Moore, 73 of Elon passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Alamance County to late William Anderson and Maggie Taylor Brooks and was married for over 52 years to James Thomas "Tommy" Moore who survives. Lois retired from Truliant Federal Credit Union after 23 years of service and was a member of Union Ridge Church where she was also a member of the Graham Chandler Sunday School Class and was active in the Angie Crew Circle and Golden Age. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who truly enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of the home, daughter, Michelle Cobb and husband Bryant of Elon; son, Eddie Moore and wife Cindy of Elon and grandsons, Scott Moore, Taylor Moore and Nicholas Cobb. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ralph Brooks, Myrtle Phillips and Bill Brooks. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Union Ridge Church by Rev. Dan Ficklin, Rev. Jim Rosser and Rev. Dave Gilbert with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
