Lizabeth McBane

Mrs. Lizabeth Jon Keeton McBane, age 61, of Snow Camp, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health.
Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard Marvin Keeton and the late Veda Solary Keeton Panger and was married for over 17 years to Gene Arnold McBane, who survives. She retired from LabCorp as a Lab Supervisor with over 30 years of service. Lizabeth loved spending time at her home where she loved her children and her pets, and spent time cooking, watching hummingbirds and butterflies from the deck and curating her pottery collection. She also liked to travel and take long drives to nowhere. She was a proud woman and worked hard for her family and home and was always willing to give to those in need.
Mrs. McBane is survived by her husband of the home; two stepchildren, Adam McBane and his partner, Nicole Pickard and Shannon McBane and her partner, Tiffany Strickland; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Brooke Keeton and Robin Brown; and a niece, Catline "Pooh Bear" Merkel. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step daughter, Lauren McBane; a brother, Tim Keeton; and her in-laws, Winston and Elizabeth McBane.
The family will conduct a private memorial service at a later date.
