Winter Haven, Florida Linwood Roach, age 77, formerly of Burlington died on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at his residence in Winter Haven, Florida. He was a native of Schoolsville, West Virginia and the husband for over 59 years to Beatrice Roach who survives. Linwood was employed with Burlington Industries for many years and later retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery. He spent ten years of his career working in South Africa. Linwood was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Roach of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Becky Roach of Winter Haven, Fl; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Craig Spanjers of Winter Haven, Fl, Linda and Rick Kinney of Burlington; seven grandchildren; brother, Willie Roach of Belfast, NC; sisters, Peggy Ann Overman, Vivian Angel and Betty Lou Hawkins all of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Esther May Roach. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Mike Jones.
