Linda White

Burlington, NC Linda M. White, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at White Oak Manor. She was a native of Hickory and the daughter of the late W. L. White and Alma Walsh White who survives. Linda retired from Citi Group and was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. She was a member of the choir and the Adult Sunday School Class at her church. Linda was a Brownie Scout Leader for many years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Bilinda Way Moore and her husband, Hue of Gibsonville; her son, Rodney William Way and his wife, Dana of Burlington; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sierra Moore and Haley Madison Moore; mother, Alma Walsh White of Ferguson, NC; sisters, Mary Sue Brockington and her husband, William of Gaffney, SC and Judy Kay Corriher and her husband, Mike of Gibsonville; brothers, William "Butch" Lloyd White and his wife, Betty, Lewis Benn White and Billy Lee White and his wife, Cheryl all of Burlington, Rev. James Alan White and his wife, Cindy of Elon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, W. L. White. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Raven Baptist Church by Rev. Bobby Fann. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
