Linda Elizabeth Coppola Tapler

Linda Elizabeth Tapler, 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth Christ Coppola. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years Leopold “Leo” Joseph Tapler. 

Linda was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she also served as a member of the Columbiettes for many years. She retired in 2009 as a mortgage loan processor for Wells Fargo. She was a talented seamstress even sewing clothes for all three sons as they were growing up. Linda received numerous awards from the Diocese of Eastern Long Island where she served as director of St. Anthonys Bread in Rocky Point, NY. 

Survivors also include; Leopold “Leo” Tapler, sons; Leopold “Leo” Joseph Tapler and wife, Marsha, Joseph Paul Tapler and wife, Judy and Paul Alfred Tapler and wife Amanda, grandchildren; Michael, Marissa, Margaret, Hannah, Jacob and Abigail Tapler. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Fr. Vincent. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home as well as other times at the home.
