Linda Spence

Linda Durham Spence, 75, passed away Friday October 18, 2019 at her daughter’s home.  She was born December 3, 1943 in Durham County to the late Fred Lee and Jesse Lee Porter Durham and was married to the late Rev. Robert Julian Spence, Jr. for fifty-four years. She was a true minister’s wife and all the duties included as such.  She was a member of Crossway Church and had a puppet ministry she would visit other churches to perform.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening but mostly spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Cindi Letchworth and husband Jimmie; son, Robert J. Spence III and wife Lori; grandchildren, Christian Spence and wife Ellie, Micah Letchworth, Julia Spence, Lizzy Letchworth, Nathan Spence, Joey Spence and her cat “Tigger”.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; brother, Norman Durham and a sister, Katherine Lucas.

The service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:45 PM Sunday prior to the funeral at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
