Linda Sherrill

Linda Somers Sherrill, 72, of Pagetown Rd. passed away Sunday February 16, 2014 at the Hospice Home. She was the wife of Dennis A. Sherrill and was born February 13, 1942 in Alamance County to the late George Gilbert Somers and Nellie Mae Bowles Somers Warren. Linda had retired from Glen Raven Mills and later worked for The Alamance County Arts Council and Riverside Baptist Church. She was very active in the A.O. Civitans and served as the secretary in the past. Linda was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of the home, a daughter Kelly Lynn Sherrill of Fayetteville, granddaughters: Calista Bailey Plyler, Ainsley Sela Plyler and a sister Kathy McCall of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Leroy Warren. The service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dave Gilbert. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service and at other times at the home.
