Linda May

Linda Jean May, 53, of Shoe Rd. passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Ben Baker and Betty Baker who survives. She was a loving wife, mother and maw maw and was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of the home, Lloyd May; mother, Betty Baker; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Missy McGuire, and Chris McGuire, all of Burlington; 8 grandchildren; sister, Sandy Dickey of Burlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Tina Avant of Elon and Larry and Portia Avant of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Baker. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Glen Raven Baptist Church by Rev. Bobby Fann with interment to follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
